Everybody loves Kanban. And in a lot of cases Kanban can be an effective way to work.

Unfortunately, sometimes Kanban is used as a cop-out because you don’t fix the real problems.
If you can’t get the work done inside a two-week sprint, don’t switch to Kanban. Instead, figure out how to make stories smaller.
If the PO keeps coming in with new priorities mid-sprint, seriously question if they really are that urgent or if the PO just has a hard time saying no.
On the other hand, if responsiveness to requests takes priority over predictability, if the team can maintain the rigorous discipline it takes, give Kanban a try.
